Yes. Using REVIT 2025 we create detailed floor plans. Elevation & Equipment Schedules that meet local health and building codes. Every plan is designed for optimal efficiency, proper ventilation, and a logical flow from prep to service.

Absolutely. We specialize in space optimization for compact or challenging layouts. Even a small redesign such as repositioning prep tables, sinks, or refrigeration can dramatically improve speed, safety, and sanitation.

It is always a faster process if we have existing building/space drawings in print or digital format, but these are not always available.  With or without existing drawings, our Design Team will verify the existing conditions of your project to ensure the space is properly outfitted. The Design Process will then begin with menu and equipment requirements guided by budgetary goals. From there, our designers create a custom layout and equipment list tailored to your operation.

Yes. Gerharz Equipment’s design team works closely with Architects, General Contractors, Manufacturers, and Health Inspectors to ensure your kitchen meets all building and safety requirements. We can also provide equipment specifications and rough-in drawings for submittals.

Yes, we offer both in-person consultations in Central New York and remote design support for out-of-state clients. Our experts can review your space measurements, review utilities, and make recommendations based on your concept and menu.

Design service costs vary depending on project size and complexity. For most projects, most of the design fee is credited toward equipment purchases when you buy through Gerharz Equipment.

Yes. We design with compliance in mind and can assist with health department concerns, ADA guidelines, ventilation specs, and NSF-listed equipment selection.

Upon request, we can provide 3D renderings, Walk-throughs, or digital previews to help visualize your kitchen layout before construction begins. These are helpful for investor presentations and build-out planning.
Initial Schematic Equipment Layouts, Equipment Schedules, and Preliminary Project Specifications are typically ready for Client review within 7–10 business days after receiving project details. Larger or multi-room facilities may require additional time for revisions and coordination with client requirements and contractors. As the project moves forward, we will work through revisions to our drawings and specifications based on Client requests, Value Engineering, etc. until the project is ready to be issued for Equipment Purchase and Construction.
